New Delhi: The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, through its flagship initiative Startup India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CarDekho Group, an auto-tech and finance solutions company.
The collaboration aims to accelerate India’s startup ecosystem across mobility, fintech, insurtech, and emerging technology sectors.
CarDekho Group to Provide Market Access and Mentorship to Startups
Under this partnership, DPIIT and CarDekho Group will work together to strengthen the growth of DPIIT-recognised startups.

The collaboration will provide strategic mentorship, market access, technology infrastructure, and funding opportunities. Startups will gain access to CarDekho’s diverse platforms including CarDekho, InsuranceDekho, rupyy, BikeDekho, ZigWheels, PowerDrift, Revv, CollegeDekho, and Crack-ED, creating opportunities for wider collaboration and customer reach.
Bharat Startup Grand Challenge and Investment Opportunities
The MoU also includes plans to host innovation challenges under the Bharat Startup Grand Challenge to promote entrepreneurship in electric mobility, auto-tech, finance, and sustainability.
Startups will have the opportunity to connect with CarDekho’s leadership for domain-specific guidance and explore co-investment avenues through the Girnar Vision Fund (GVF).
The partnership will also drive skill development programs in collaboration with CarDekho brands to enhance entrepreneurial and technical capabilities among founders and startup teams.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjiv, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, said that the partnership would help bridge the gap between corporate expertise and startup innovation, unlocking impactful solutions for mobility, finance, and sustainability.

Amit Jain, Co-founder & CEO of CarDekho Group, highlighted that the company is committed to mentoring, funding, and co-creating with India’s most promising startups. He added that partnering with DPIIT through the Startup India platform will allow CarDekho to further enable innovation across mobility, fintech, and emerging technologies.
The MoU was formally signed by Dr Sumeet Jarangal, Director, DPIIT, and Amit Jain, Co-founder & CEO, CarDekho Group, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.
